Thomas McClintock , born in White Plains, New York to a wealthy family, is a Republican career politician active in California politics since his graduation from UCLA in 1978. Before his election as Representative for California’s 4th congressional district in 2009, he was a former Assemblyman and state Senator, who unsuccessfully ran for Governor of California in and for Lieutenant Governor in 2006. In 2009, McClintock signed a pledge sponsored by Americans for Prosperity promising to vote against any global warming legislation that would raise taxes. McClintock voted in favor of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. McClintock called for an independent prosecutor to take over the FBI investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and the Trump campaign’s possible ties to it. McClintock opposes same-sex marriage and stated "calling a homosexual partnership a marriage doesn’t make it one.” McClintock is one of a handful of representatives that do not live in their own district. He is married with two children.

Jessica initiated successful measures to help abolish human trafficking and has worked throughout the world promoting global stability. Her aim is to represent all of her constituency and provide services which have been absent due to ideological beliefs of the incumbent. An avid outdoors woman, she has hiked the entire length of her district.
